Does This Sound Like You?

You love your child deeply — but lately, it feels like every day turns into a power struggle.

You ask them to get dressed, and it turns into a 10-minute argument.
You remind them (again) to put away their toys, and they melt down or ignore you.
You feel like you’ve tried everything from consequences, reward charts, “gentle parenting,” maybe even yelling out of pure frustration — and nothing seems to work.

You want peace at home, but between tantrums, defiance, and endless reminders, it’s hard not to feel like you’re failing.

You’re not failing.
You just need a parenting approach that fits your child — not one that expects your child to fit into a one-size-fits-all strategy.

That’s exactly what the Effective Parenting Program was built for.

What Is the Effective Parenting Program?

The Effective Parenting Program is an 10–12 session online parent educational, training and coaching experience designed for parents of kids ages 3–14 who struggle with behavior challenges, ADHD, ODD, autism, anxiety, or emotional regulation.

It’s a step-by-step, evidence-based parenting program that combines:

  • Behavioral Parent Training (BPT) – proven tools to reduce challenging behaviors and increase cooperation

  • Positive Psychology – helping parents feel confident, capable, and emotionally grounded

  • Developmental Psychology – understanding your child’s brain and behavior so you can respond effectively, not reactively

Each week, you’ll learn one powerful parenting skill — and walk away with a clear, written plan for using it at home.

No guesswork. No endless advice threads. Just practical tools that actually work.

What You’ll Learn

By the end of the program, you’ll know how to:

✅ Understand what’s driving your child’s behavior — and how to respond calmly and effectively
✅ Build trust and connection so your child wants to cooperate
✅ Set respectful, proactive boundaries that stick
✅ Reduce tantrums, meltdowns, and arguments with clear, consistent strategies
✅ Communicate so your child listens the first time
✅ Create smoother routines for mornings, homework, and bedtime

Each session builds on the last — helping you move from chaos and conflict to calm, confidence, and connection.

What’s Included

Every session includes:

  • 50-minute virtual coaching sessions (individual or co-parent)

  • Step-by-step written summaries of each strategy, personalized to meet the needs of you and your children

  • Custom behavior plans and communication scripts tailored to your child

  • Printable worksheets, handouts, and checklists for home practice

  • Email support between sessions for questions and encouragement

You’ll finish the program with a personalized parenting toolkit you can use for years — even as your child grows and develops.

What to Expect

Each parent coaching session is designed to help you feel calm, capable, and confident — while giving you practical, evidence-based tools to create lasting change at home.

In your first session, we’ll take time to understand your family’s unique situation. Together, we’ll explore your parenting goals, values, and the behavioral challenges that have been most difficult. You’ll walk away from this first meeting with a personalized parenting plan that outlines clear next steps and the specific skills we’ll focus on throughout the program.

After the first session, we’ll begin the parenting lessons — where each session builds on the last. Every week, you’ll learn one new parenting skill designed to help you reduce behavioral challenges, improve cooperation, and strengthen your relationship with your child.

Each session follows a consistent, supportive structure so you always know what to expect:

  1. Review & Reflect: We’ll check in on how things went using the previous week’s strategy.

  2. Troubleshoot Challenges: Together, we’ll identify what worked, what didn’t, and why.

  3. Learn the Next Skill: You’ll gain insight into the psychology behind your child’s behavior and exactly how to apply the next tool.

  4. Create an Action Plan: You’ll leave each session with a clear plan for practicing your new skill at home — with written steps and real-life examples.

  5. Integrate & Build: Over time, we’ll put all the skills together so you can confidently handle any challenge that comes up.

By the end of the program, you’ll not only know what to do — you’ll understand why it works and how to make it last.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this therapy or counseling?
No. This is a structured, educational coaching program based on behavioral parent training and developmental psychology — not therapy. It’s focused on skill-building and family systems, not diagnosis or mental health treatment.

Can both parents participate?
Yes, and it’s encouraged! Co-parents can attend from the same or separate locations.

What ages do you work with?
The program is designed for parents of children ages 3–14.

Do you work with ADHD, autism, or ODD?
Absolutely. The program is particularly effective for children with ADHD, ODD, autism, and other behavioral or emotional challenges.

Is the consultation free?
Yes — completely free and no obligation. It’s your opportunity to ask questions and explore whether this is the right fit.

Do you offer nationwide services?
Yes! All sessions are held virtually for parents across the U.S.

How many people are typically in the group classes?
It is based on demand - typically between 5-10 people. We keep classes small to allow for more personalized classes and time for questions.

Is the group program the same as the individual Effective Parenting Program?
Yes — the core lessons, tools, and strategies are the same in both. However, the level of individual support is very different.

In the group program, you’ll still learn how to create behavior plans and apply the skills at home, but the guidance is more general. You won’t receive the same degree of personalized attention, customized lesson plans, or detailed problem-solving that comes with one-on-one or co-parent coaching. There’s also less time for individual questions, and we can’t tailor each topic to your child’s unique needs in the same way.

Who is a good fit for group classes?
Group behavioral parent training is ideal for parents who:

  • Want to learn effective, evidence-based tools at a lower cost

  • Prefer a structured, classroom-style learning environment

  • Are comfortable applying the strategies independently at home

  • Have a child with mild to moderate behavioral or emotional challenges

  • Don’t need ongoing, individualized troubleshooting or weekly support

If you’re looking for more hands-on guidance, customized plans, or deeper support, the individual Effective Parenting Program or an intensive is a better fit.

How much does the group class cost?
The group class costs $600 per person / couple / co-parent.

What is an intensive?
An intensive is a focused, fast-track option for parents who want fast support and don’t need ongoing sessions. It begins with a 50-minute intake session, where I learn about your child, your goals, and your current challenges. From there, I create a customized lesson plan and behavioral plan tailored to your family’s needs.

We then meet for a 3-hour intensive session where I teach you the essential parenting strategies, walk you through the behavioral plan step-by-step, and make sure you feel confident using the tools on your own.

Intensives are best for parents whose child is experiencing mild to moderate emotional or behavioral concerns and who want an efficient and cost-effective alternative to weekly sessions.

Individual and group intensive options are available.

How much does an intensive cost?
The price of an individual intensive is $700 (50 minute intake + 3 hour intensive).

The price of a group intensive is $300 (15 minute consult + 3 hour intensive).
